Themes part 3

• This is part 3 of the whole theme/idea project for Hotel Rwanda
• The extreme racism (the whole world against him) that took place in the movie inspired me, especially when all the whites were moved out of the country but the blacks weren't
• I tried to extremely cloud the planet with white characters and completely seperate the protagonist of Hotel Rwanda.
• Im satisfied with the finished product, at least for now, and there is nothing more I feel the need to add at this time.

Portfolio Image

• We were to create a sort of advertisement/business card for our fake graphic artist career.
• I wanted to make a sort of portfolio image but in a very simple and realistic way.
• I was inspired by the example images on the handout
• I'm satisfied with the final product as it adds all the images I want in a good way. There is nothing I feel as though I necessarily need to add at this time.

Themes 1-2 (Hatred and Courage)

• We were supposed to make an image modeled after a theme in the movie Hotel Rwanda.
• I used the cockroach image and the wings as the main focal points in both image and of course the recurring theme of fire. I tried to make images that subtly imply feelings that revolve around the theme of the creation.
• The themes/ideas brought on by watching Hotel Rwanda Inspired me.
• I am satisfied with the pieces and there is nothing else I feel the need to add at this time.

Bravery (part 2 and part 1 of Social Injustice)

• This is the one word text illustration project.
• I was inspired by a major theme in the movie and although the word is fear in this picture the theme is bravery
• I used black and white pictures and made the bulk of the image as threatening as possible then added a picture of a man with a girl to portray the main character in Hotel Rwanda.
• I am somewhat satisfied with the finished product and there is nothing I feel the need to add at this time.
• Unfortunately my movie poster which consisted in a black and white pic I created of the main character and the hotel was deleted thanks to the old mac computer I'm using.

Winter is Coming

• The TV show game of thrones inspired me for this project.
• I wanted to make a background for my netbook the contained a Game of Thrones reference and this is what I could come up with.
• I like the finished product and how well the images combined together.
• I might put more time into the wolf before I make it my background but right now I am satisfied with the finished product.

Batesville Day Shirt

• We were assigned to make a Batesville day t-shirt for extra credit.
• I wanted to capture the image of Batesville history while still giving it an artistic aspect.
• The image of the Batesville store inspired me to use a sepia tone and make it as old but as artistic looking as possible.
• I am satisfied with the finished product and there is nothing more I feel the need to add at this time.

Background replace product

• We were supposed to take an image and recreate it with a different image and then add a stroke. After this was accomplished blend it together in a final image. The first picture most of the pictures are from the web but the final picture is made up of mostly my own images.
• I used my music man, jack nicholson photo, kaleidoscope, and photo vortex images in order to make the second one. I also used four images of color from the web to fill in the Jack Nicholson shapes.
• I feel satisfied with the images. The first one I think I could have made the planets more 3d looking.
• Other then that there is nothing else I feel the need to add.

Inside/Out

• Unfortunately although I spent a long time on this project my final work was deleted when the program crashed when I tried to save.
• The image I found of a bird (specifically an owl) inspired me to make a sort of futuristic/steam punk photo.
• I wanted to make the photo as realistic with an artistic approach as possible.
• I was very satisfied with the finished product but unfortunately it is gone.

• We were supposed to follow photoshopuser.com tutorials and give our own version of the tutorial image.
• I tried to do two tutorials in this post but one of them (wash border) crashed as I was finished and I was unable to recover the image.
• I followed the tutorials and tried to use a different image that followed the same style as the sample image.
• I am satisfied with the flower tutorial and there is nothing I feel the need to add at this time.

Find the egg

• We were supposed to make a sort of wheres Waldo image, where you find and object in an image.
• I tried to think of two things that would hide each other well and then put them into an image.
• The image we viewed in class of the coffee beans inspired me.
• It was fun but I wish I could have some how made the egg blend better. I also wished I had found a different image and item to use.
• Nothing I want to really add to this picture at this time.

Chair Project

• We had to take a chair and work done by one artist and combine them in a way so that the overall image is satisfying and then add shadow.
• I took two artists that I both liked and knew were renown. I then applied my favorite art done by the artists to the chair in a way that makes sense. Once the art was warped on correctly I both burned and added a shadow to the images in order to make them look 3d.
• The art done by both Da Vinci and Warhol inspired me.
• I'm satisfied with the ending product.
• There is nothing more I feel the need to add at this time.

• We were supposed to follow a tutorial found on photoshopuser.com
• I tried to follow the tutorial as best as I could using his portrait of Jack Nicholson
• I'm not extremely happy with the finished product only because I could not get colored pencil to work out as well as I wanted it to. This threw off the rest of the tutorial.

Mid Term

• We had to make a semi-abstract composition using new and old images and combining as many different tools as possible.
• I tried to make a center focus of images I made or old images while desauturating them to show that they are old. I then used modern abstract art images to establish a frame of color.
• I made this art in order to explain my inspiration as alot of my work including this one is inspired by modern graphic abstract art or 3d abstract art.
• I'm pleased with the finished product and their is nothing I feel I need to add or should have added at this time.

Thanksgiving Card

• We were to make a greeting card.
• I was inspired by an autumn depiction which encouraged me to add thanksgiving images and then I used them together and blended.
• I really like the ending piece and there is nothing I feel the need to add at this time.

Art Inspiration 2

                Although its a photograph captured through the use of a filter this piece of art really inspires me because it makes the person who is viewing think and admire the beauty captured. This picture makes me want to create art that is also as vast and as incredible. I want the person looking at my work to stop and stare for a little bit and get lost in thought. I need to capture a much more vast approach to my art. This is how this picture has inspired me.

Art Inspiration

                   There is so much going on in this beautiful picture called Mid-day Migration by John Newsom. The vivid colors all blend together to really make an amazing dreamlike garden scene. This picture truly inspires me to find ways to blend as many colors as I can into my images to really make them pop. Now that I've seen this painting I can't wait to find my own style of blending colors in order to make a beautiful piece of art.

Hamlet

• We were too make a comic strip using the abilities we are given in photoshop.
• I tried to make a comic that sort of revolves around a pun, this is what I came up with.
• I kind of like the ending product, there are some mistakes I made while drawing the pig but I guess for the amount of time I had left to work on it I'm satisfied.
• A pun I came up with inspired me while making this comic strip.
• I wish I had more time to add finishing touches and make all the images blend together more thoroughly.

Filtered Self-Portraits

• Create a 3 x 3 grid of self-portraits with different filters applied to them.
• I tried to make as many variations to each image that I could and then add some effects to the entire grid as a whole.
• The stylize filters inspired a lot of my work.
• I am very satisfied with is because overall it seems to blend very well.
• There is nothing I wish to add to it at this time.
